Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j Review in 2021

Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j Review

If you’re looking for a decent laptop, check out the Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j Review, which we’ll go over in depth.

Asus X555LA, on the other hand, excels at multitasking and has a long battery life, but it feels like a pricey laptop.

Consumers on a budget may not believe they can buy a workhorse, yet the Asus X555LA can do activities that would cause other budget laptops to stutter.

Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j typically ships with a 15-inch Core i3 laptop that outperforms rival systems in a variety of tests, and it has a long battery life with no pre-installed software. This laptop, however, does not come without drawbacks.

Concentric circular grooves on the Acer X555LA’s top, which appears like metal but feels like plastic, create a great first impression.

The keyboard is somewhat recessed, which is OK, but the touchpad is off-center, resulting in less room for the left wrist than the right.

Display on the Asus isn’t as crisp as some others in its price range. The tiny lettering in the clip’s backdrop signage was simple to see on both the Aspire E5 and the Lenovo G50-45. The X555LA, on the other hand, could not.

However, the display of the X555LA isn’t very brilliant.  The nit reading of 160 nits is lower than the budget laptop average of 192 nits.

The touchpad on the X555LA was responsive, but it, like the rest of the laptop, seemed hollow when we pushed down on it.

Let’s have a look at what it has to offer.

1. Design

The concentric circular grooves on the Acer X555LA’s lid, which appear like metal but feel like plastic, create the greatest first impression.

Unfortunately, the laptop’s build quality does not inspire trust. The loud click of the touchpad, for example, seemed hollow.

When we compared the two laptops side by side, the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 is slightly heavier but feels more sturdy.

The keyboard is somewhat recessed, which is OK, but the touchpad is off-center, leaving the left wrist with less room than the right.

The left side of the framework has a proprietary power connector, Gigabit Ethernet connector, VGA port, HDMI port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a Kensington lock port.

An SD card slot, a headphone or mic connection, a USB 2.0 port, and a DVD-RW driveline are all found on the right side.

2. Display

Unfortunately, the display of the Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j review is not as sharp or as beautiful as others in its price range. Check price now

The tiny lettering in the clip’s backdrop signage was simple to see on both the Aspire E5 and the Lenovo G50-45. As a result, the X555LA was unable to do so.

Even the display on the X555LA isn’t very bright. The nit reading of 160 nits is lower than the budget laptop average of 192 nits.

The Inspiron 15 5000 has a slightly greater brightness rating, while the Lenovo G50-45 has a much higher 238 nits.

Apart from that, the speakers on the bottom of the Acer X555LA are likely to be tiny, but they generate plenty of volume. They sound appealing.

3. Keyboard & trackpad

The touchpad on the X555LA was responsive, but it, like the rest of the laptop, seemed hollow when we pushed down on it.

Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j review springy keys allowed for superb typing, despite the fact that the shell and deck didn’t feel great.

We typed 63 words per minute on average with 98 percent accuracy, and it’s all down to the keys’ near-ideal 1.55-millimeter travel. Its plastic wrist rests, on the other hand, did not keep me comfy for long.

4. Processor

Asus’ laptop, on the other hand, is equipped with a 2-GHz Intel Core i3-4005U processor and 6GB of RAM, which handled all of the multitasking we threw at it.

Even with 20 tabs open in Chrome, including Tweetdeck, Facebook, email, and two Google docs, the X555LA did not slow down.

Two streaming movies and streaming music, the Camera app active, and a complete system scan going in the background.

Despite the fact that synthetic benchmark testing confirmed my real-world experience, the X555LA came out on top of all the challenges we put it through.

Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j performed well on our multitasking test, which typically entails opening a 69MB Word document with many pictures while also watching a 1080p movie.

The X555LA finished the test in 34.6 seconds, which is quicker than the Inspiron 15’s 41.2 seconds and much faster than the average budget laptop under $400.

Nobody buys a cheap laptop expecting to play games, but the X555LA with Intel HD Graphics 5500 was able to run World of Warcraft at 1366 x 768 at a decent 31 frames per second on basic settings.

Although the Inspiron 15 5000 (37 fps) was quicker, this was on level with the category average.

5. Battery life

For a 15-inch laptop, the Asus X555LA offers a good battery life at a reasonable price.

On the Laptop Mag Battery Test, the Asus lasted 5 hours and 55 minutes while browsing the web over Wi-Fi with the screen set to 100 nits.

Best-in-class times are longer on the Inspiron 15, the 15t Touch, and most budget laptops.

The Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j does not overheat while in use, so users who push the battery to its limits won’t be burned.

The touchpad, keyboard, and bottom of the laptop measured 76, 79, and 80 degrees after 15 minutes of streaming HD movie, respectively.

All of those temperatures are far below our 95-degree comfort zone.

Final Thoughts – Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j Review:

In this post, we go over the  Asus Laptop x555la-hi31103j Review in great depth.

For those on a limited budget, the Asus X555LA is a capable laptop. It has the greatest battery life in the class, and the speakers are very powerful.

Unfortunately, despite the fact that this machine doesn’t seem as robust as other low-cost laptops, its display is dim.

However, we like the Dell Inspiron 15 5000 because of its comparable power, soft-touch deck, and more robust design, which comes in attractive colours like red.

Apart from those limitations, we had a great time with the X555LA, from its bouncy keyboard to its long battery life.
